Dreamer was where it all began for Hudcity. In 2004 I acquired a connection that would send me traveling to New Jersey and Manhattan to the underground rap scene. Rap Boot Camps and a studio in the Rosell Borough of NJ would help me get a taste of what a real mc had to endure. This CD has some great material on it. And the beats are all courtesy of DJ, a close friend I met along the way. It was the beginning of what I like to call "grind mode". The only problem, my life wasn't in the right place at the time, something had to change...

Revelations

Hud City Project was a joint venture created in Hudson when I lived downtown in 2005, along  with my crew the Dead Poet Society. People in town can tell you they were really feeling this one because of the raw energy and all the sampling that we did on the project itself. DPS is a known name around the area as is the four horsemen. Bitter feuds and life itself would take a toll on the group as a whole but their passion still remains strong as lyricists. In fact...3 of the  4 original members are currently in the studio today working on music.

Lyric Is Dead

In the Summer of 2006, I had finally gained control of my life and fixed all the kinks in the hose. I hit up my cousin J-Rocc who told me to just kill Lyric, that way I'd have a fresh start in my mind as well as my life in general. We made 13 bangers on this mixtape/album, it really gave me a chance to vent all my frustration from my past and start with a clean slate. It features the vocal talent of Cerise, now the R&B princess of Hudcity Records and my Cousin aka Kasper The Don. The garbage had been taken out, and S.D. was reborn with a vision and a path to follow. The instrumentals on this were Soundclick beats from the dopest underground producers in the world. And you can completely hear the hunger in my voice on these tracks!

Step It Up

The Storm would be my second collaboration with DJ and his signature instrumentals he used on the album.  Besides Dreamer, this was the 2nd disc that could actually be called an Album. Currently this CD is available on I-Tunes in the USA and Japan. It has a different feeling of Sean Delaney on it, many party tracks as well as songs strictly for the ladies. It was created in the Winter of 2006. The cover of the disc is a picture from the cult comic Sin-City.

Back Then

The Wonder Years was created in the Summer of 2007. It is an awesome collection of hip-hop/classic rock mashes I created just for fun. It really turned out to be another classsic from the kid SD. It samples songs I grew up listening to as a child while my father was downstairs chillin. It features samples from such great artists as Queen, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Lionel Richie, The Beatles, Sam Cook and others. I enjoyed making this CD and look forward to creating a 2nd.

Yesterday (feat. DJ)

The Shining, my 3rd original "album", is another collaboration with the New Jersey Beatmakers including some from newcomer Yung Lee. Created in the beginning of 2008, the beginning of SD the entrepreneur, this CD is filled with fire from start to finish. The hunger and the anger in my voice is heard on every track, as I try and figure out why someone who has over 300,000 listeners on Youtube from a monumental video on Autism, someone who just created his own clothing line and started his own independent label with his bare hands and no financial backing has not been picked up by the industry. This is a must hear album, polished throughout.

Higher (Grind Seazon Mix)

In the Summer of 2008 me and my close friend J-Real put together all of the hottest Sean Delaney tracks for a compilation mixtape called Grind Seazon. It features all the classics from each album.  At the time this was created I was taking trips to NYC on a train along with my fiancee and colleagues doing shows in the Times Square Arts Center. We wouldn't even go to sleep, sometimes staying up all night until the morning came just to pursue my career. The money, unfortunately ran out and so did the train tickets. It's been some journey...

Feeling like the rap game had done me dirty one too many times I decided to rebel against everything hiphop's current state stood for and  created an rock/rap album with a guitar slinging Lou Towart and a Bass dropping Pat Kalb. Together we created the concept album City Of Noware and our band was called ATANOWARE. We did create a hit single that was on the radio for 10 wks. on 103.1 and we did an interview at the studio with Jason Keller which gave us some hype. But, deep inside the starving animal growled for Hip-Hop. And in the end of 2008, it was a nice hiatus from the game I've chased for years. But, the rap game slowly clawed at my insides until I couldn't take it anymore. So I came back and vowed to "grind" harder than I ever have before thus creating my new projects below.

Hard Work

The "5 Steps To Success" CD, created in 2009 is a five step educational music program for kids in school. I am very proud and honored to be a part of this along side my friend and colleague Dr.John J.Pelizza. A renound motivational speaker and health educator from the area. Together, we hope to bring an end to students not wanting to succeed, an end to students ditching class, getting in fights, and being the victim of bullying. The best part of this entire deal is the way we are going to accomplish this is through  Hip-Hop music. Hip-Hop is a very powerful source, you just have to know how to use it properly.

My next accomplishment in 2009...S.incerely D.edicated is the name of my new clothing line as well as my new slogan for the business. With sales up, the name back, the word spread and the true definition of a grinder with his head straight, Sincerely Dedicated is the introduction to the future of Sean Delaney. The instrumentals are once again Soundclick beats. But I wanted to show the world my versatility and the fact that I never lost my lyrical talent even after a small hiatus with a rock band. This is the introduction to my 4th album currently "untitled".  This CD features the voice of the princess of Hudcity Records Cerise along with the DPS camp Commish and Nathan.

Step Ya' Game Up

2009 is proving to be a busy year for me! Through trial and error, and networking in trying to find the best management in my price range, I was introduced to a seasoned manager, internet guru and magazine columnist from California, Gigi Capone. Who knew she would provide me with an opportunity to be a part of history. Because of that bond, I was introduced to Tapwire Magazine. A magazine breaking barriers in the entertainment world. Actually, it is the first ever digital magazine and it made history by interviewing the creators of the Madden 10 game and bringing it to the urban world. It includes exclusive screen shots, celebrity reviews including an article with Paul Wall. I was chosen out of thousands of unsigned mc's to be a part of the Un-official Madden Soundtrack. My song "Step Ya Game Up" was created specifically for the Madden edition of Tapwire Magazine. It is another originally written track and beautifully engineered by Lil Mico, home of all S.D. beats.

Although the management was short lived, I took away a great connection who kept me in mind for all her music ventures. One of them in particular was the 80's Babies Mixtape, a collaboration of well known artists including Raekwon the Chef, Warren G., Nate Dogg, Naughty By Nature and Anthony Hamilton to name a few. Me and XL of D.P.S. wrote a new rendition to the popular 80's track "Friends" created by Whodini. It was featured on the mixtape and after it was downloaded to ThatCrack.com, it instantly recieved thousands of listens. It was an honor to be a part of it.
